To help us raise funds and find an amazing opening act for our 2014 Variety Show, Variety is hosting a star search. We’re looking for talented and fun acts that want to win big. Whether you’re a group or individual, adult or child – if you have a special or unique talent, it’s your time to shine.

Enter your act by January 6

Submit your 3 minute (max) video highlighting your act by January 6, 2014 and help us raise money for children with special needs by paying the $10 application fee. 

Compete in the Variety Show Star Search

We’ll post the top 40 qualifiers for voting between January 10 and February 10 (one vote per dollar donated). The 10 acts with the most votes will compete live during the Variety Show Star Search on February 23 at Alamo Drafthouse. 

You could perform in the 2014 Variety Show!

One grand prize winner will get to perform live on The Midland stage before Sinbad – at the 2014 Variety Show (March 28). He or she will get a free, professional photo shoot session with Haley Photography.

So, if you’re looking for something fun to do over the holidays, get the kids, the band or whoever else together. Make a video and submit it by January 6 for your chance to win big!

The Variety Show is gaining momentum – with our Chair and Co-Chairs

Our committee and sub-committees have been meeting regularly and making big plays. So far, we booked the date, The Midland and Sinbad! And now, we’ve locked up the most amazing Chair and Co-Chairs.

Variety is proud to announce Mike Avery (President of Waddell & Reed Financial) as our one and only Honorary Chair. With his long history of doing great things for our community, we know Mike will be a wonderful addition to the 2014 Variety Show and so will our amazing Co-Chairs – Brent and Lee Ann Bloss (Waddell & Reed Financial) and Sean and Rayeann Yokley (CommunityAmerica Credit Union).

Mike, Brent, Lee Ann, Sean and Rayeann believe whole-heartedly in our organization and the children we serve. We are very lucky to have their support as we continue to plan and ultimately host the best Variety Show yet!

Give the gift of laughter – with Variety Show tickets

This week, as you’re shopping for the perfect baby doll, bicycle, p.j. pants or purse for your friends and family members, remember to also give them something that represents the true spirit of the holiday season.

Give your loved ones special time together. Give children with physical and cognitive disabilities wheelchairs, van lifts and the assistive devices they need to be included in society. And, give everyone the gift of laughter.
